Day 4: Tights

So we're at that strange point in October where it is cold, but not too cold. You must resist the temptation to wrap yourself in scarves and parkas and settle for things a little bit lighter.

That's where the tights come in.

A little secret: tights are a great piece of clothing that is cheap, varies greatly in pattern and color, and can change up any outfit. Granted, they don't last that long, but for $3-4 dollars a pair, they are worth it.

Today's outfit was easy and fun. Here's day four, folks:

You can't really tell from this picture, but these tights are not just sheer black, they're a lacy pattern (but not too scandalous). I picked these up at Forever 21 for around $5, and this is actually my first time wearing them. So far, no snags or tears, so hopefully I'll get my money's worth.

The top is from Charlotte Rouse, which is pretty similar to Forever 21, but they have a way better jewelry selection. You walk in, and all of the jewelry is hung on this lighted wall, and then you just stand there drooling and wishing you could spend money without abandon. And then you snap back to reality and realize you are broke and that you should probably buy underwear before setting your sights on rings.

...

So, as I was saying, this top came from Charlotte Rouse. I absolutely love it because I can wear it about 5,000 different ways: with tights, leggings, or jeans. I also add any variation of scarves and hair clips to vary the look as well. Sometimes I wear black ballet flats, but as you can see, I opted for my trusty boots once again.

So, let's recap: Invest in some leggings. Get them in a crazy pattern, bold color, or animal print. Go crazy! Take your favorite outfit, add some neon leggings and BAM! You've just updated your look.

Also, don't go into Charlotte Rouse unless you are okay with spending at least ten dollars on rings. Because, seriously. It's impossible to deny the Wall of Jewelry.

Keep it classy, people. See you tomorrow.
